POLICE LOG

6:03 p.m.—Officers were dispatched on reports that a vehicle was being driven in circles on the snow on the Malkin Athletic Center Lot. Upon arrival, no such vehicle could be found.

Dec. 27:

1:24 p.m.—An HUPD officer was sent to 95 Prescott St. to investigate an attempted breaking and entering. The door frame was damaged but no items had been stolen.

5:42 p.m.—HUPD officers were dispatched to the Holyoke Center to report on two missing children in conjunction with Cambridge Police Department (CPD). The children were found and returned to their parents.

4:52 p.m.—An officer was dispatched to Akron Street to assist with traffic control due to a broken water pipe in the street.

Dec. 29:

12:07 a.m.—An officer was sent to investigate graffiti on a window at 1306 Mass. Ave. Pictures of the graffiti were taken.

10:23 p.m.—Officer sent to Eliot House on a report of stolen cash valued at $300.00.

Dec. 30:

9:29 p.m.—Officers were sent to Au Bon Pain on Mass. Ave. to remove a couple “disturbing the peace.” Upon arrival, one person had already left the area and HUPD escorted the other off the premises.

7:20 p.m.—HUPD officers found a group of people possibly smoking marijuana on Brattle Street. Officers checked the group for wants, warrants, and searched them for drugs—all with negative results. The officers then sent them away.

Dec. 31:

1:09 p.m.—Officers were sent to Anderson Bridge on 973 Memorial Drive on a report of a person leaning over the bridge and standing on the railing. Officers searched with no results.

4:41 p.m.—HUPD officers were dispatched to 383 Harvard St. on reports of a person unconscious, lying in the bushes. Person was determined not to be a Harvard affiliate. CPD and Professional Ambulance were notified.
