BREVITIES.

THE following is the order of events decided on for the tournaments at the Gymnasium:-

Saturday, March 10. - 1. Horizontal bar. 2. Light-weight wrestling. 3. Vaulting with one hand. 4. Light-weight sparring. 5. Middle-weight wrestling.

Saturday, March 17. - 1. Vaulting with two hands. 2. Middle-weight sparring. 3. Standing high jump. 4. Fencing. 5. Heavy-weight sparring.

Saturday, March 24. - 1. Parallel bars. 2. Heavy-weight wrestling. 3. Running high jump. 4. Club swinging. 5. Unfinished bouts.

All entries must be made at the Gymnasium on the Friday preceding each tournament.

THE attention of students is called to Art. 2 of the printed regulations, and especially to the words "of the Monday following the irregularity." Hereafter, after penalties for absence have been voted by the Faculty (the students concerned having been previously informed by the Secretary that they are in danger of incurring these penalties), no petitions for the removal of these absences will be entertained by the Faculty.

The article referred to is as follows:-

"All excuses for absences, tardmesses, or omissions must be presented before two o'clock of the Monday following the irregularity. All petitioners are required to come to the Dean's office within the week after the presentation of their petitions to learn the decision of the Faculty concerning their requests.
