Joseph E. Murray Dies at 93

“He would see each patient as if they were his own sons and daughters because, in his view, we are all sons and daughters in the eyes of our Creator,” Richard said.

Richard said he will deeply miss his father’s kindness, insight, and warmth.

“We knew this day was going to come and it wasn’t going to come in twenty years, but that doesn’t make it a heck of a lot easier,” Richard said. “With a guy like this, there’s just conversations I already want to have with him that I can’t.”
