Brown, Forte Race to Big Win at Lavietes

“You saw a very experienced, senior-driven offensive team have great poise and great determination,” Sullivan said. “We had no answers for them on defense at all.”

Powers finished with 17 points—15 of them coming on five threes in the first half before Forte picked up the slack after the break.

In contrast, the Crimson struggled from behind the arc before halftime, hitting just two of its 10 attempts. Aside from junior shooting guard Kevin Rogus, Harvard was 0-for-6 from three-point range in the first half.

Sophomore power forward Matt Stehle paced Harvard with 18 points, seven rebounds and three steals, while junior Graham Beatty also pulled down seven boards.

Rogus finished with 12 points on 4-for-14 shooting and dished out a career-high four assists. Beal added 10 points.

While the Crimson had its second-best assist-to-turnover ratio of the season with 16 assists and 17 turnovers, Brown recorded 20 assists and committed just 10 turnovers.

Mike Martin, Forte and guard Luke Roscoe combined for three quarters of those helpers.
