“You see one of the Harvard boys changing,” Burton said. “We like the change, don’t we? Change is good. Can’t wait to see more changing. I am a fan of these boys. They are hunky and smart.”

“We can’t help but be hunky because we train all the time,” Grant conceded. “People always assume we’re smart because we go to Harvard.”

After the team came back on stage in its new gear, Burton couldn’t resist bringing up just one more thing.

“I just have to ask you, in swimming, you know, every second counts,” she said. “Do you guys shave for swimming?”

In unison, co-captains Kemi George and Kevin Budris replied, “All the time, our entire bodies, head to toe.”

In the end, the spontaneous appearance on TRL was just one part of an important experience for the team, as it prepares for the upcoming season with 14 freshmen swimmers.

“It was fun, a great trip,” George said. “This was an opportune time for the team to bond. This helps the freshmen become a close class. We’re excited to be in Cambridge and the appearance is an added benefit.”
