Rock Steady

* * *

The crystal rock goes into retirement after this year's tournament, so here are the final predictions for the final time:

BOSTON UNIVERSITY--BOSTON COLLEGE: This has been a hard-fought and bitter rivalry throughout the season, and the eighth ranked Eagles feel they have a good shot at knocking off the top-seeded Terriers. But the Terrier bite is as bad as its bark, and B.U. rarely loses ECAC playoff games. B.U. 5, B.C. 2.

BROWN--DARTMOUTH: The streaking Bruins have won 11 in a row, including two over the Big Green. They'll make it 12 straight tonight in Providence, but will probably stall in the Garden in the really big one, Brown teams usually do. Brown 7, Dartmouth 6.

CLARKSON--CORNELL: After disastrous back-to-back losses to Penn and Princeton just over a week ago, Clarkson looked like it was in trouble. The Golden Knights finished strong, however, and should handle the Big Red on its home ice, Clarkson 4, Cornell 3.

NEW HAMPSHIRE--HARVARD: It's the old story, my heart says to pick Harvard but my bookie says UNH. My bookie wins. UNH 8, Harvard 5.
