TRACKMEN TO FACE FORT DEVENS TEAM

After several weeks of indecision a track meet with Fort Devens which has been on the fire for some time has finally been scheduled for today at 4 o'clock. This will be the first meet outside of College walls for the Mikkolamen, and a test against a team of unknown strength, with the outcome any man's guess.

Frank Coolidge, Freshman star of last spring, who made time last year of 9.8 seconds in the 100 and 21.4 seconds in the 220, will lead the Crimson sprinters. In the quarter mile last year's Freshman Captain, Ted Withington, will do the honors, along with Bill Bingham, Jr.

Pincus in 880

Max Pincus, who ran the quarter mile all last spring will run the 880 in the Fort Devens meet today. In the mile run, distance man Bill Palson will lead the field for the Crimson.

Cross Country Captain, Fred Phinney, will take to the field in the grueling two mile run. In the weight events it is no suprise to find former Freshman star, Pete Garland, slated for the shotput and discus. Broad jumper for the afternoon will be '46'er Johnny McCoubrey, who will also double up in the 100. A relay team will be drawn up from members of the squad participating in the Devens Meet.

The potentialities of the Devens team are totally unknown to the Crimson coaches and managers, but the soldiers warn that they will throw the best men they can gather into the meet which may or may not spell disaster for the Crimson. One thing is sure, it will probably be no draw but a smashing victory for one side or the other.
