FACT AND RUMOR.

The special pamphlets giving detailed accounts of the courses in French, Music, Physical Geography. Geology and Palaeontology are ready at the office for delivery.

It is rumored that the citizens of Cambridge have asked the city government to pass a vote of censure upon the college for the recent noisy celebration.

The year's marks in N. H. 2 will be made up as follows : the mid-year examination will count 40 per cent., the final examination 50, and the thesis 10.

It is likely that Secretary Lincoln will be present at the Harvard commencement, at which time the class in which he graduated will celebrate its twentieth anniversary.

The postponed game between Exeter and Harvard '87, which was played yesterday, resulted in a score of Exeter 7, Harvard '87, 10. Owing to a delay in the returns the detailed account will appear in our next issue.

The officers for the next half-year of the society of Christian Brethren are : Strong, '85, president; Lloyd, '86, secretary; Knapp, '87, treasurer; A. T. Dudley, '87, librarian. The society will probably become a branch of the inter-collegiate Y. M. C. A.

"Government Revenue," is the title of a recent work from the Riverside Press. The work is based on lectures delivered by the author, Mr. E. H. Roberts, before the students of Cornell and Hamilton. The book is written in opposition to free trade principles.

The two-mile course on New Haven harbor has been re-surveyed and found nearly a fifth of a mile too long. The crews which have been rowing against time feel relieved at the statement.
