FACT AND RUMOR.

Mr. Briggs will lecture today on argumentative composition, special subject: "The Syllogism and the Common Fallacies."

The Divinity Hall course of lectures will be continued by Dr. H. P. Bowditch. Subject: "The Advancement of Medicine by Research."

The contract for the saddling of the new diamond has been given to Mr. Eveleth, and work will be begun as soon as the weather permits.

J. K. Simpson, another on the men chosen for the European lacrosse team, will be remembered as a billiard player on the Harvard team of last year.

The Courant announces the board of editors of the Yale Quip as follows: W. S. Case, H. L. Doggett, G. E. Vincent; and D. W. Mulvane, business manager.

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals will be given on the evenings of April 24th and 26th at Union Hall, Boston. Announcement of the sale of tickets will be made in a few days.

The treasurer of the Princeton Football Association shows in his accounts a total expenditure of $1,912.04. The association has been self-supporting, having collected no subscriptions whatever.

The freshmen have shown a marked improvement in their playing since they have been in the field. Both Whistling and Baker are promising pitchers, and Varick and Litchfield are doing well behind the bat.

Notification comes from the office at U. 5 that the groups of examinations on Saturday, June 7 Tuesday, June 10 will be inter-changed. Freshmen recitations will cease on Saturday, June 7.

There will be a one-hour optional examination in Greek 3, on Friday, at 11. This paper may be substituted for a third paper. Professor White asks members of his section to leave bluebooks on the desk in the recitation room, before Friday.
