Sublett's Cartoon Anti-Christian and Offensive

Letter to the Editors

To the editors:

Stacey J. Sublett’s anti-Christian cartoon in April 8’s Crimson was really unacceptable. I can’t imagine a similar cartoon involving Islam or Judaism and rightfully so. Religious workers of all faiths have brought comfort, faith, and critical humanitarian aid to the world’s troubled regions.

They should be praised for risking their well-being in the name of helping their fellow man. Instead, Sublett ridicules their sacrifice and takes a pot shot at a faith that has been at the forefront of promoting a meaningful peace and humanitarian outreach in Iraq. A respected publication like The Crimson should not print such bigoted cartoons in the future.
