WASHINGTON--Martin Chancey, secretary of the local unit of the Communist Party, asked Attorney-General Frank Murphy today to investigate the "lawless, terroristic and dishonest," actions of the Dies Committee.
He charged that last Wednesday, Committee investigators raided his office and "left it a shambles." They had no search warrant, and relied on "physical force" in carrying out their program, he asserted in a letter to Murphy
