Police Log

Nov. 21:

10 p.m.--The Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) responded with the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) to a dispute among college students at their off-campus apartment. Police made one arrest.

1:23 a.m.--HUPD units responded to a complaint about an unwanted guest in Wigglesworth Hall. Police issued a trespass warning to the person.

3:01 p.m.--A caller from Lowell House reported an incidence of possible mail fraud.

5:03 p.m.--An HUPD unit assisted a dean in serving a letter concerning a domestic dispute at Vanserg Hall. The person who was served the letter was escorted off campus by police, and asked not to return.

5:45 p.m.--A guard at Lowell House called to report that he apprehended a suspicious person and was holding him in the superintendent's office. HUPD arrested a Boston man for trespassing.

Nov. 24:

3:14 p.m.--HUPD quieted a loud party at Lowell.

6:28 a.m.--A guard at the Broadway Garage reported that a man was hiding on the second level. HUPD units could not locate the individual.

11:12 a.m.--HUPD units responded to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences to remove some youths. When police arrived, four youths that looked to be about 14 years of age fled the scene. The officer reported that the youths had been using marijuana.

8:40 p.m.--A computer was stolen from Perkins Hall.

Nov. 25:

12:53 p.m.--CPD relayed a phone call to HUPD from a Peabody Terrace resident who reported that she had been followed home by a suspicious person. HUPD subsequently issued a trespass warning to the person.

Nov. 26:

10:18 a.m.--A caller reported that a door at the Fogg Museum had nearly been dismantled in an attempted burglary.

7:56 p.m.--HUPD units stopped a car at Broadway and Ellery Streets that was wanted by the Belmont Police. Belmont police arrived and issued the driver a citation.

Nov. 27:

1:55 a.m.--CPD reported that they chased two people wanted in connection with a hit-and-run accident. The chase passed through the Law School. HUPD units assisted in arresting the individuals.

11:06 p.m.--Six individuals refused to leave the American Repertory Theatre. They were gone when police arrived.

Nov. 28:

11 a.m.--CPD responded to a suicide threat on Mt. Auburn Street.

2:03 a.m.--Three males were reported to be looking with flashlights into cars near the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. Police could not locate the males.
