Full-Scale War Necessary

Dissent

Compromise and discussion are futile. Saddam Hussein is a tyrant, not a democratically elected leader who has been building up a supply of weapons with the intent to use them.

It is true that at this point the American public does not support a full-scale war with Iraq. Therefore, President Clinton as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces ought to turn his power of persuasion on the electorate to explain why such action, while unpalatable, is necessary for maintaining the balance of power in the Middle East and the world.
