But to counter the chance of fil'buster,

Repubs five more seats couldn't muster.

In the House, Dems gained five,

Keeping Clinton alive,

And impeachment threats look like mere bluster.

But the left holds little allure-a.

For a sixth year in a row, Newt still has bravura.

Nevertheless, the star of the show was clearly

Jesse "the Body" Ventura!
