Council Increases Fall Grant Budget

Harvard and Radcliffe organizations will get a funding boost from the Undergraduate Council next semester, due to a council resolution passed late last month.

The resolution, passed on November 22, allocates an additional $5,000 to the fall grants fund, raising the total to $40,000.

"It definitely does help. It increases our budget by 16 percent," said Melissa Garza '94, chair of the council's Finance Committee.

"It seems like a little bit. But a lot of groups operate on a few hundred dollars, so I definitely think the groups will appreciate this," Garza said.

The additional money comes from last semesters' unclaimed funds.
