Huskies Down Spikers In Season Finale

The Harvard women's volleyball team closed out its regular season schedule last night, falling to a far more powerful Northeastern squad in three straight games.

The Huskies posted a 15-2, 15-6, 15-6 thrashing in the contest before a handful of fans at the Indoor Athletic Building.

As a result, Harvard's record fell to 3-15.

After spending several minutes fixing the net, the spikers looked listless in the opener, as Northeastern hustled to a 15-2 victory. The spikers suffered from lack of communication and team work.

That wasn't the case in the second game, however, when the Crimson forced several rounds of long volleys, enjoyed several effective sets, and served up several good serves. But a win was not in the cards for the spikers. The referee halted a Crimson rally at six on a questionable call, and the spikers were unable to rebound. The Huskies grabbed a 15-6 victory.
