What a difference a year makes.

Last year, the Harvard men's swimming team rebounded against Army to snap a shocking two meet losing streak.

This year, the Crimson went to West Point, N.Y. on Saturday to extend an 11 meet winning streak that dates back to last year's victorious contest.

The Crimson (5-0) received its strongest challenge to date but came through to defeat the Cadets, 70-43.

"It was a really fight meet," freshman Dave Berkoff said, but "we pulled together and broke their morale." No one was more responsible for that than two other Yardlings, John Ritch and Chris Gould Going into the 100-yd. freestyle, the Crimson needed a spark to clinch the meet Ritch and Gould provided it by both checking in at 46 seconds, sharing first place honors and ending the Cadet threat.
