The Harvard women's swimming team downed Penn, 93-56, Saturday in Philadelphia. Though the Crimson won only eight of the meet's 17 events, the swimmers' superior depth brought them a relatively easy victory.

Debbie Zimic led the way for Harvard with wins in the 200 individual medley, the 200 butterfly and the 200 freestyle as well as a brilliant anchoring leg of the 400 freestyle relay.

"Debbie's the kind of superstar that wins a lot of events." Crimson Coach Vicki Hays said yesterday.

Hays looks forward to the Eastern Championships to be held Thursday through Saturday at Penn State. "I think we're going to do great," she said. "Everybody's in great health and great spirits."
