Aquamen Win Two At MIT Tourney

At the MIT Invitational Water Polo Tournament, the Harvard men's water polo team scored victories Saturday over Princeton. 18-7, and Montclair State, 20-7.

Led by senior Dave Fasi, the Crimson rolled over both squads of hapless New Jerseyans. Fasi scored eight goals in the first half of the afternoon game against Montclair State. He opened the game's scoring at 0:22 of the first period, slamming the ball into the Montclair net after a nice set-up from junior Adam Button. For the rest of the game--and for the rest of the tournament--the 17th-ranked Crimson lived up to its billing as one of the East's best.

Princeton provided little better competition. Fasi again led all scorers with six goals in burying the Tigers. Button, senior Steve Munatones and sophomore Brian Johnston each chipped in three goals. Munatones was pleased with some aspects of the offense: "When we wanted to work something out there we could. But we like playing tougher teams."

The defensive problems that Harvard had last weekend in the Easterns at Providence when playing Bucknell and Navy still seem unresolved. "I pleased with the defence. I thought everyone could play better. But the small pool here makes for a lot of gnats, said Pike.
