Ruggers Win, 32-4, To Extend Streak

The Harvard rugby team stretched its regular season unbeaten streak to 11 games Saturday by defeating Babson College, 32-4.

Sabin Willett, Charles W.A.Bott, and David Miller combined on a 60-yd. run through the Babson backfield to give Harvard a 4-0 lead.

Two minutes later, Richie Iorio set up another Willet-to-Millery try with a 25-yd. run after picking up a loose ball; Bott extended the lead to ten points by splitting the uprights on the conversion.

Just before halftime, the Harvard scrum drove the ball to the Babson goal line before scrum half Keith Oberg ran to the weak side of the field and passed to Kip McKenzie, who touched the ball down and provided the ruggers with a 16-o lead.

Babson opened the second half with renewed enthusiasm, driving Harvard back to its goal line, blocking a kick, and falling on the ball for its first score of the afternoon. However. the Harvard scrummers immediately drove Babson to its goal line and allowed backs Oberg. Bott and John Dorgan to weave through the Babson defense and score in the left corner.
