Women's Studies

In Passing

In an open meeting with students this week, the Faculty Committee on Women's Studies said it opposed the formation of a separate women's studies department and the offering of a women's studies concentration, but said it encouraged professors to incorporate women's studies into their courses.

Jennifer R. Levin '80, chairman of the Radcliffe Union of Students, said yesterday the announcement was "indicative of the kind of faculty we have here."

She added that several students feel "real frustration" because they cannot receive advice or encouragement in the field.
