Dalai Lama To Give Talk In Sanders

The Dalai Lama, an exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, will speak tonight at Harvard on "The Nature of Self" in the last stop of his 46-day tour of the United States.

Hosted by the Center for the Study of World Religions (CSWR), the 44-year-old Buddhist monk will spend three days at Harvard, participating in a Divinity School seminar on "Buddhism and Society," attending a private reception at the CSWR and holding a press conference in the Faculty Club.

The Dalai Lama--a Mongolian title meaning "ocean of wisdom"--has lived in northearn India for the past 18 years. The Dalai Lama will give his speech at 7 p.m. in Sanders Theater. The CSWR distributed tickets for the address several weeks ago.
