Leverett Robbery

About $70 was stolen from the Leverett House grille early yesterday morning but no arrests have yet been made, a spokesman for Harvard Police said yesterday.

Mark K. Carbone '79, one of the grille's co-managers, yesterday admitted the grill "probably wasn't secure enough" and added "extra security measures will be taken" in the future.

Bernard Tierney, Leverett House custodian, said the thief probably entered through an open window after the grille closed at 1 a.m. early yesterday morning.

Tierney said this was the first robbery reported inside Leverett House in several years.

The grille, which sells various snacks including hamburgers and bagels, operates on the first floor of Leverett's G Tower
