Fast Break Helps J.V. Cagers Pound Weak Jumbo Five

The J.V. basketball squad kept its undefeated record intact Wednesday by smashing Tufts. 100-76.

The Crimson utilized the fast break and jumped to a comfortable 60-36 lead by halftime. The listless Jumbos failed to threaten Harvard in the second half. The Crimson kept sinking the buckets.

"There was no way they were going to beat us." J.V. coach Bob Hart said yesterday. "The fast break was the key for us. We played a quick, good game."

Sophomore guard Arnie Needleman led Harvard with 25 points, followed by 6'8" center Jeffrey Wheat who racked up 24. Mike Griffin tallied 14 points and 18 assists The Crimson, now 5-0, battles Northeastern on February 5.
