Galbraith Slated To Head A D A

The New York Post said yesterday that John Kenneth Galbraith, Paul M. Warburg Professor of Economics, will soon become the national chairman of Americans for Democratic Action. He will succeed Rep. Don Edwards (D-Calif.).

Galbraith reportedly agreed to accept the post at the unanimous request of the ADA nominating committee because of his deepening concern over the Vietnam war. Relations between ADA and the Administration worsened recently, after ADA vice-chairman Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. '38 attacked the Administration's stand on Vietnam negotiations.
