Awori Will Run In Meet Tonight

Medical tests conducted yesterday on ace sprinter Aggrey Awori proved negative, clearing the Ugandan for tonight's New England AAU championships at M.I.T. He will run in the 50-yard dash and possibly in the hurdles.

Awori knocked his ankle hard against a hurdle in Saturday's BAA meet, and it was feared he had suffered a sprain. He did not work out with the squad on Monday.

Despite Awori's presence, Harvard will not make a concentrated effort to win the team title tonight. Coach Bill McCurdy plans to use only those team members whom he feels need the competition. Awori is one of these, and may face Pan American Games sprinter Gerald Ashworth in the dash.

Also participating for the Crimson will be Bill Crain in the three-mile run, Keith Chiappa in the 1000-yard run, and the weight men, paced by junior Art Croasdale. McCurdy may have some others go tonight after taking regular workouts this afternoon.
