University Leads In Alumni Gifts

Harvard received more money from alumni than any other university during the fiscal year 1957-1958, according to an American Alumni Association report issued recently. The total sum donated to the University was $2,070,247.

Yale and Princeton trailed in second and third places with $1,793,872 and $1,162,196 respectively.

A total of 1.2 million graduates gave over $129 million to United States colleges and universities during the past fiscal year. This amount, an increase of 29 per cent over the previous year, was the highest ever contributed.

Harvard, however, failed to rank among the top three universities and colleges in per cent of alumni making gifts.
