The quartet of Crimson runners who competed for the Williams track team over the Easter vacation led the Ephmen to two straight triumphs over mediocre southern opposition.

Although the northerners' individual performances were far from championship caliber, they had no trouble in trouncing both VPI and the University of Richmond. A third meet, scheduled against Davidson, was rained out.

The four Crimson men who ran for Williams on a purely informal basis, Captain Bob Rittenburg, Renny Little, Don French, and A1 Wills, all had at least one victory in each of the two meets.

In the VPI meet, won by the W-H team, 77 to 30, Rittenburg captured both the 120 high and 220 low hurdle races, with his 14.8 in the former very good time for this early in the season. Little, after finishing third in the 220, won the 440 yard run in 50 flat. Wills, third in the 440, won the two mile, and French, runner-up in the two mile, won the mile run in a poor 4:30.

The W-H runners then defeated Richmond, 76 to 39, the Crimson alone accounting for 35 points of the winning total. Rittenburg won the two hurdles as well as tying for first in the broad jump; Little won the 440 and finished second in the 220; Wills won the mile while French finished second in the same race. There was no two-mile in this meet. The Harvard team finished second to Williams in the mile in this meet. The Harvard team finished second to Williams in the mile relay.
