Soccer Eleven Seeks Third Straight in M.I.T. Tilt Today

The Crimson soccer squad will be alert to avoid a let-down after Friday's win over Dartmouth when it seeks, its third straight win of the season against M.I.T. this afternoon at 3:45 on the Business School field.

Bruce Munro has worked the team lightly this week, with a lengthy scrimmage Monday and an hour-long workout yesterday. He placed special emphasis in the scrimmage on operations against Tech's three fullback defense. M.I.T. is the only squad in the area which uses this strategy.

Munro watched M.I.T. in action Saturday, and reports that the Engineers have some potential in their many South American players, but lack of team play hampers them at times. M.I.T. will be at a slight disadvantage in the contest, as the Crimson field is somewhat wider than tech's small sized grounds.

Fisher Injured, Will Not Start

Goalie Lindsay Fischer's Dartmouth game injury was confirmed yesterday as a bruised rib cartilage. He will definitely miss today's game and probably will not play against Penn.

Starters, besides the goalie, will be the same as for last week's Dartmouth tilt. Hank Holmes will go at outside-left, Gray Hodnett will play inside-left, and Shad Tubman will start at center-forward. Dick Fisher at inside-right and Ken McIntosh at outside-right will round out the line.

Hugh Sargent and Don Beaver will play at fullback, Denny Little will start at left-half, Stacey Holmes at center-half, and John Hadik at right halfback, while Eliot Finkelstein will replace Fischer at goal.
