Even without two of its stars, the varsity track team is an overwhelming favorite to crush Brown this afternoon at Providence. In the same most, the undefeated freshmen will also seek to extend its two year streak.
Coach Bill McCurdy will not use hurdler and broad jumper Bob Rittenburg, or Captain and half miler Jack Richards. Both these men, out with foot injuries, will probably be able to run next week against Yale.
In the ten-team New England Relay last week, Brown finished seventh, capturing one first place, that by Don Seifert in the hammer throw. Good performances are expected today of Dave Alpers and Rene Little in the quarter mile, and Hal Gerry in the two mile run.
