Crimson skiers returned from Lyndonville, Vt, last night with second place laureis in the regional Junior Division Championship. As runner-up to Bowdoin in a nine-team field, the Crimson graduates into the Senior Division and is entitled to compete in the Middlebury Carnival on February 21.

Competing without the team's star, Neil Dixon '55, the skiers were considered pregame underdogs by everyone including Coach Graham Taylor. The weekend's activity produced a new star, Norwegian exchange student Johan Andresen '53, who stole individual honors by capturing second place for over all performance.

Champion Bowdoin, with 550.4 points, nosed out the Crimson with 548.26. Maine, Colby, and Norwich followed in that order.

The Crimson gained fourth in Saturday's slalom in spite of poor conditions. Harry Gardner, the team's ace in the event, missed a gate and came in 25th. Andresen finished tenth.

In the cross-country, Andresen, Hans Vitzthum, and Bill Wilson finished second, third, and fifth for Harvard.

Steve Reynolds and Pat Colt finished fourth in the downhill and jump respectively.

To sweeten the Crimson's victory Yale finished last.

The team expects to be better at Williams when Dixon returns to the squad.
