Three Varsity Contests Booked for IAB Today

TIGER FIVE FACES IMPROVED CRIMSON

Encouraged by two consecutive narrow victories over local colleges, Coach Norm Shepard will send the varsity basketball team out against bigger game from Princeton at 8 p.m. tonight in the I.A.B. The Crimson and Tigers are both seeking their first Eastern Intercollegiate Basketball League victories, though in league play so far the visitors have lost only two games to the varsity's three defeats.

Ed Condon will replace Paul Shaw at guard in Shepard's only switch from Wednesday's Tufts game starting lineup. Captain Dick Lionette will play center, with Bill Dennis and Harry Sacks at the forwards and Ed Krinsky at the other guard position. Except for Sacks, the team's high scorer since vacation, the lineup will include all lettermen.

Against Princeton's probable zone defense and deliberate slow offense, Shep- and will continue to use the fast-break and switching man-to-man defense which worked so well in the Tufts and B.C. contests.

Tigers Win Half

The Tigers, who whipped the Crimson twice last year and went on to be league champions, have a below 500 record this year.

Starting for Princeton tonight will be Foster Cooper, the high-scoring 6 foot 8 inch center, forward Fred Tritschier, and guard Phil Zuravieff, all lettermen. Don Marshall will play the other forward, with Hal Haabestad at guard.

The Crimson, fresh from a victory over Tufts, will be looking for its fourth win.
