On the House

Kirkland teams collected a perfect six-for-six record by triumphing in House basketball, swimming, and squash play yesterday. Kirkland's A squash team blanked Lowell, 5 to 0, Wednesday.

The Deacon A basketball five downed Eliot, 51 to 22, and the B quintet posted a 50 to 34 victory over the Elephant B's. Kirkland's swim team smacked Adams and Dudley by identical 30 to 18 scores. And the B and C squash squads downed Lowell, also by identical margins, 5 to 0.

In other hoop tests, Dunster edged out Lowell, 36 to 35, dropping the losers out of the top spot in the A league. The Funster B five smacked the Bellboys, 51 to 36, to move into the circuit lead.

Lowell's swim team took two on the chin, losing to both Eliot and Leverett by default. Eliot downed Leverett, 32 to 16. Adams defeated Dudley by the same score before losing to the Deacon paddlers. Dunster's 29-19 triumph over Winthrop completed swim action.

Eliot's B and C squash teams trimmed Adams, 4 to 1 and 5 to 0, respectively. Winthrop downed Dudley, 3 to 2, in the B match and 4 to 1 in C competition.

In freshman basketball, Grays moved into a three-way tie for first place with Holworthy and Matthews South, beating Thayer South, 31 to 29. Isaac Scott was high-scorer for the winners.
