Mock Appellate Court Judges Trial Tonight

The Law School's annual mock trial reaches the appellate stage tomorrow night at 8 p.m. in the Langdell Courtroom. Dean Griswold of the Law School will represent the plaintiff-appellant. Covington W. Hardee, professor of Law, will be counsel for the defendant.

Fowler vs. Swift, the case, involves a schoolteacher, Fowler, who lost his job because the low-flying antics of stunt pilot Swift gave him a case of nerves. He sued and was awarded $3,500 on the count of negligence by the lower mock court on October 17.

Both appealed. The case will be heard before the mock court of Judge Calvert Magruder '16, Chief Justice of the First Circuit Court of Appeals, Talcott M. Banks '31, and John C. Cabot Jr., members of the Boston bar.
