Yardling Sextet Bows To Unbeaten Elis, 6-1

Yale's freshman hockey team wound up an unbeaten season by trouncing the Yardling sextet, 6 to 1, Saturday at the New Haven Arena. Lack of scoring finesse and sloppy clearing cost the Crimson its second loss of the year.

The Eli first line of Brown, Smith, and Shea accounted for five of Yale's goals, while Harvard's first wave was unable to score. Nat Harris and Pete Lawson collaborated for the visitors' only marker.

Although the Crimson outplayed their rivals during the first period, Coach Priddy's men couldn't finish off their plays. On the other hand, Yale cashed in on its scoring chances despite several aerobatic saves by Harvard goalie Ted Cook.
