Leverett Nine Edges Lowell; Deacons Win

Levertt House's muscular Bunnies broke a three-all tie in the late innings yesterday when one man singled, another walked, and Gordon Neal belted a mighty double scoring both runners, to give Leverett a 5 to 3 win over Lowell.

In the opening game of yesterday's double bill, league-leading Kirkland downed what players Dudley could muster behind the slants of varsity castoff Frank McNutt.

Dave Aloian's melon-ball had the Funster outfit completely baffled for five innings and their slugging efforts in the final two frames added up to only four runs.
