Golfers to Resume B.C. Match Today

Play will resume today in the B.C. golf match originally scheduled and begun last Saturday, but cut short at the end of nine holes because of high winds and increasing darkness.

Captain Sam Savidge expressed high optimism last night over the outcome of this afternoon's play, stating that he "expects the team to win." The Crimson golfers already hold a slight margin over the B.C. team, but as the contest is being scored according to "match play" rules in which each winning hole is awarded one point towards the final count, the outcome is still in doubt.

Line Kinnicutt has a three hole advantage over his opponent at the end of 11 holes and is the pace-setter for the team up to this point.

The four-day lapse since Saturday has given the links out at the Commonwealth course a chance to dry out and Savidge fools sure that at least three of the temporary greens will be removed for the game.
