Investigation of "the College's completely negative attitude toward extra-curricular activities" will be launched at tonight's 7:30 oclock meeting of the Student Council's Extra-curricular Affairs Committee in Phillips Brooks House.

"The question is whether the College, in letting undergraduate organizations run themselves with little official support in matters ranging from finances to excuses from classes, does enough to encourage these outside activities," said Richard G. Axt '46, chairman of the Committee.

At Least 20 in Group

"With 20 to 25 students as a nucleus for the investigation group, next term we will delve into the need for a student activities center as well as official encouragement. That something is wrong with the present system is indicated by the fact that, although 90 percent of the Freshman class were prominent in high school activities, not over 25 percent of the Class of '50 are now engaged in any form of participation in undergraduate organizations."
