To the Editor of the Crimson:

The Bells of St. Mary's sound pleasant and sweet, Their tones you can never compare

With the bells of Lowell which when heard from the street

Are like bedlam let loose on the air.

The Liberty Bell is silent and mute With a crack in its side from its pealing.

If the bells on Lowell will just follow suit We will all have a much better feeling.

The air is now filled with news that is sad; The papers each day print their fill;
