WILL THREE BOTTLE LABELS GET SCHOLARSHIP IN 1987?

Harvard commencements 50 years from now will be financed and broadcast by beer barons, and scholarships awarded on the basis of the number of bottle labels submitted, according to a skit presented Saturday night at the president's dinner of the Clover Club of Boston and witnessed by President Conant.

Club members parodied the commencement exercises in 1987, during the course of which a radio announcer offered full scholarships "for three labels or reasonable facsimiles there of." The climax found the wrong speaker preparing to deliver the commencement address.

Another skit named important Boston officials as proprietors of a laundry that turned out clothing "as spotless as Revere."
