FLIERS LAND IN NEW YORK

Floyd Bennett Airport, New York, May 28--Dog tired, two valiant French airmen brought their huge silver monoplane out of blue skies onto Floyd Bennett airport today, defeated by motor trouble in their ambitions attempt to link Paris and California by air.

The filers, Captain Maurice Rossi and Lieutenant Paul Codos, were forced to terminate their trans-Atlantic dash at the air field where last summer they started their record-breaking non-stop flight to Syria.

They brought their ship down at 2.37 P. M. EDT, eight hours, 27, minutes after their take-off at Le Bourget airport, Par- is, France.

New York, May 28--An Ambition to circle the world in less than a week and wrest the globe-girdling record from the United States and Wiley Post was revealed by Capt. Maurice Rossi, French airman, in an exclusive interview to night
