Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors have reported in a body for the first days of fall rowing. Already more than enough for six crews have appeared and it is believed that seven or eight will be out on the water by next week. Starting with a meeting in the Tower Room of Lowell House last Wednesday, a wealth of experienced material has turned out. Sophomores from last spring's Freshman eights make up the majority of the oarsmen, while a few of the Varsity squad have been keeping themselves in shape.

A lack of coxswains has made it impossible to put more than four or five boats on the river at a time, but some of last year's Freshmen are volunteering for the position. Practically all of the Varsity crew of last year is out for football so little may be expected of them until December, when winter rowing is scheduled to start. Coach Whiteside has been giving his time to the Freshmen, so only Sullivan, coach of the 150-pound crews, has been guiding the upperclassmen.
