ISELIN BOWS TO JANSEN IN STATE SQUASH SEMI-FINALS

W. J. Iselin '29, captain of the University squash team, and seeded first in the state tournament, went down to a decisive defeat in the semi-final round before the sizzling shots of T. E. Jansen '26, seeded third, on the University squash courts Saturday afternoon. Iselin, who was generally favored to win the tourney, was entirely unable to cope with Jansen's brilliant play and trailed the victor throughout the three games necessary for a win.

The score of the match was 15-10, 15-12, 15-9, and in the second game Jansen had a ten point advantage before Iselin managed to score. Jansen's corner shots mingled with hard drives kept Iselin on the defensive most of the time.

Jansen will probably have for his final round opponent M. P. Baker '22 who is favored to win out over R. E. Stuart of Newton Center who advanced to the semi-finals mainly by virtue of defaults.
