UNIVERSITY MUSICIANS IN PERFORMANCE AT UNION

REINHART, LIND, ARCHER SOLO PRESENTATIONS

The University Instrumental Clubs will make their first appearance of the Spring season on the evening of February 15, when they will hold a concert and dance in the Living Room of the Union, the affair being conducted under the auspices of the Union. All the units of the Clubs which include the banjo, vocal and mandolin clubs as well as the Gold Coast Orchestra, will have a part in the program.

A. M. Lind '29 will render a violin solo and J. S. B. Archer '31 will be the tenor soloist for the evening. An exhibition of sleight-of-hand will also be performed by Robert Reinhart '29. Each club in the organization will make two appearances, rendering two selections each time.

The program, which is practically the same as given by the Clubs on their Christmas trip through the West, however contains several changes. Opening with "Up the Street" as played by the banjo club, it is followed by selections rendered by the vocal club. "Liebesfreud" and "Narcissus" are the outstanding numbers of the mandolin club. A group of negro spirituals on the vocal club's second appearance will also be a feature of the program. Several popular pieces will also be given by the Gold Coast Orchestra under the direction of Roy Lamson Jr. '29. The program will be brought to a close with "Fair Harvard" sung by the combined clubs of the group.

Following the concert, there will be dancing with the Gold Coast Orchestra furnishing the music.
