COURSE CREDIT GIVEN FOR EIGHT 'WEEKS' WORK

Engineering students will again have an opportunity to spend a summer at the annual summer camp at Squam Lake, N.H. The camp will open on June 23, and will continue eight weeks.

The activity of the camp is mainly concerned with surveying, and is designed to give the students in the Engineering School, and those in the College taking engineering courses, practical experience in the field.

G.H. During '15, head of the mathematics department at Bridgewater State Normal, will have charge of the camp. During has been an assistant for two summers, and has had practical experience with the Coast and Geodetic Survey.

R.L. Westcott, manager of the University dining halls, will have supervision of the dining hall at the camp.

The work done at Squam Lake will count as a course towards the degree in the College or Engineering School. Students concentrating in Civil and Mining Engineering are required to attend at least one camp during their course. Men in the College who are taking engineering courses may attend but are not required to do so.
