"American authors are producing literature that can compare equally as well with modern standards of writing as the products of English authors," said Bruce Barton, author and advertiser, in an interview last night with a CRIMSON reporter, when he had finished his speech at the Veteran's Benefit Show held at the Shubert Theatre.

In addition to being an author and an advertiser, Mr. Barton is known as "The man who can interview anyone".

"President Coolidge," he continued, "in refusing the nomination for a third term has kept one of America's splendid precedents alive. If from out of a voting population as large as this country has, the people can find only one man that is capable of filling the presidential chair, then the country is in a sad state."

Reminiscing, Mr. Barton said, "I remember when I first started journalistic work, in high school, and after that I began working for one of the city newspapers for $3 a week, and often I didn't get that much."
