WILLIAMS FAILS TO STOP GOLFERS' WINNING STREAK

Purple Linksmen Go Down to 8-1 Defeat on Belmont Springs Course--Weather Conditions Prevent Her Scoring

Continuing its fine play, the University golf team won its seventh consecutive match Saturday afternoon against the Williams golfers, over the course of the Belmont Springs Country Club by the score of 8 to 1.

Although Clark Hodder '25, and J. J. Mapes '25 defeated their opponents respectively in singles, the Purple pair won the only Williams victory of the afternoon when they defeated the Harvard linksmen in the four-ball match after 22 holes.

Weather Prevents Good Scores

Unfavorable weather conditions militated against the possibilities for low scores by members of either team.
