In Hanover Camp--

Hanover, N. H., October 20.--Dartmouth began a strenuous four-day drive for the Harvard game today when Coach Hawley put the first team through the longest practice of the season. When dusk set in, a ghost ball was employed in order that the practice might be continued longer.

Goldstein, who started as a tackle against Yale last Saturday, and who was replaced by Holleran at the beginning of the second quarter, was dropped to the second team, and Wallace, captain of last year's Freshman team, took his place at tackle on Team A today.

The first team practice began with a light signal dirll, in which all the plays were carefully studied out and executed. After this the linemen were given some practice bucking the line, as well as tackling the dummy. The backs, ends, and center, in the meantime, practiced kicking and forward passing. After this there was a short scrimmage with Team B, Team A playing on the defensive throughout the time. Team B was unable to score.

Seconds Show Little Strength

The second team, with Goldstein playing as a tackle, scrimmaged the scrubs for an hour, but showed small signs of strength. The score at the end of this time was 7 to 6 in favor of the second team.

All the regulars are in good condition with the exception of Oberlander, whose injury is slight. He was hit on the head in the Yale game last week, and was dared Leavitt, who started against Harvard last fall, has been playing an exceptionally good game, both on the offense and on the defence. The other men who started against Harvard last year are Bjorkman, Diehl, Dooley, Hall, and Oberlander.

Team is in Good Shape

The team is in good shape and has greatly improved on the defense, in which it has been noticeably weak throughout the season.

Team A lined up as follows Pukey and Bjorkman, ends; Parker and Wallace, tackles; Diehl and Smith, guards; Whitaker, center; Dooley, quarterback; Hall, Oberlander and Leavitt, backs.
