FRESHMAN SWIMMERS DEFEATED

Huntington School Takes All but Two Firsts from 1918 Men.

The Harvard Freshman swimming team suffered its second defeat of the season yesterday afternoon at the Boston Y. M. C. A tank, where it was beaten 31 to 19 by the Huntington School swimming team. The Freshmen were only able to secure two first places, these being the dive and the plunge for distance.

The summary of events was as follows:

Relay.--Won by Huntington.

100 yard swim.--Won by Marling (H); second, T. T. Seelye '18; third, Jackson (H). Time, 1 min. 2 3-5 sec.

Plunge for distance.--Won by A. L. Richmond '18; second, Pierce (H); third, J. Lavalle '18. Distance, 53 feet.

200 yard swim.--Won by Marling (H); second, T. T. Seelye '18; third, W. S. Whiting '18. Time, 2 min. 36 3-5 sec.

Diving.--Won by M. Blanchard '18; second, Marling (H); third, Jackson (H).

50 yard swim.--Won by Marling (H); second, Jackson (H); third, T. T. Seelye '18. Time 27 1-5 sec.
