T. Cable '13 Won Broad Jump Cup.

Theodore Cable '13, of Indianapolis, Ind., has been awarded the cup offered for the best improvement in broad-jumping during the winter and spring track seasons.

Hammer-Throw Again Postponed.

The 16-pound hammer-throwing competition which was scheduled for yesterday afternoon has been postponed indefinitely. It will probably be held during the week preceding the Yale meet.

Hockey Dinner This Evening.

There will be a dinner for the members of the University hockey squad held in the Hotel Georgian, Boston, this evening, at 7 o'clock. The Harvard graduates on the B. A. A. team have been invited.

Lecture on Railroads Tomorrow.

Mr. F. G. Athearn, manager of the Southern Pacific's Bureau of Economics in San Francisco, will lecture under the auspices of the Business School in Emerson H, tomorrow afternoon, at 2.30 o'clock.

Freshman Golf Trials.

The results of the Freshman golf trials at Woodland yesterday were as follows: H. K. Canner, Jr., defeated R. M. Baker, Jr., 2 up., S. P. Griffitts defeated R. C. Emmet 3 up and 2.

The following matches will be played this afternoon at 2 o'clock: R. M. Baker, Jr., vs. R. C. Emmet; C. G. Ilsley vs. G. C. Ludlow; B. Nichols vs. K. B. Southgate. All results must be left at Randolph 51 before 7 o'clock.

"Spanish Politics."

Dr. W. H. Gulick will address the members of La Sociedad Espanola in Stoughton 20 this evening at 8.15 o'clock, taking as his subject "Spanish Politics." Dr. Gulick arrived in this country two weeks ago after having lived in Spain. His lecture will be in Spanish and all members of the University interested in that language are cordially invited.
